When her party raised election-integrity concerns, Amy Klobuchar said foreign interference:
"…is a threat to our democracy and our security and cannot be tolerated."
She demanded a "full and thorough Congressional investigation" conducted "free from partisanship and politics."
She warned that "foreign access to critical source code information and sensitive data continues to be an often overlooked vulnerability" — and that "time is of the essence."
Those are not Donald Trump's words. They are Amy Klobuchar's. Now that standing by them would require her to break ranks with her party, she has gone quiet.
What This Petition Asks
We, the undersigned, call on Senator Klobuchar to:
- Reaffirm her own statements on foreign interference and election-system vulnerabilities — regardless of which party occupies the White House.
- Support a full, bipartisan Congressional review of the declassified intelligence materials referenced in the President's July 16, 2026 address.
- Support an independent audit of election-system source code and data security — consistent with her own past warnings.
- Support commonsense safeguards: accurate voter rolls, secure election technology, and voter identification standards.
- Lead, not follow: engage in good-faith, bipartisan work on election security instead of deferring to party leadership.
This petition does not ask Senator Klobuchar to adopt any party's platform. It asks her to apply the same standard to today's calls for action that she applied to her own. Election integrity should not depend on which party raises the concern.
